Mr Hunt outlined a 'Budget for long-term growth', which delivered an employee national insurance tax cut from 10% to 8% in April; an increase in the High Income Child Benefit Charge threshold from £50,000 to £60,000; and the abolition of the non-dom tax regime from April 2025. The Chancellor also announced that, from 6 April 2025, the government will abolish the Furnished Holiday Lettings tax regime. This will stop the tax advantage owners of holiday lets have over those who let properties long-term to tenants.
